Aji Amarillo is a vibrant, medium-hot chili from Peru, measuring 12–15 cm in length and 2–3.5 cm in diameter, with a distinctive fruity, tropical flavour. The Aji Amarillo is known for its medium heat, comparable to that of cayenne peppers and tabasco chilies. It is 4 to 20 times hotter than a jalapeño, which typically ranges from 2,500 to 8,000 SHU.
