Cherry Bomb chillies are small, round, medium-hot peppers known for their bright red color, fruity flavour, and compact size, suitable for fresh eating, pickling, and cooking. Cherry Bomb chillies are classified as medium-hot, with a Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) range of roughly 10,000–30,000 SHU, simialr in heat to a cayenne pepper. A Poblano pepper is a large, heart-shaped chilli originating from Mexico, known for its mild heat and rich, earthy flavour with subtle sweetness. They have thick, dark green skins that turn red or brown as they ripen. Due to this extra hot summer, the Poblano are smaller than usual, measuring 10 to 15cm.
On the Scoville Heat Scale, Poblanos range from 1,000 to 2,000 SHU, making them much milder than Jalapeños (2,500–8,000 SHU). When dried, they become Ancho chillies, which have a deeper, slightly smoky taste and are often used in sauces, stews, and mole.
They’re versatile—great for stuffing, roasting, grilling, or blending into sauces—and offer warmth without overwhelming spice.

The friggitello is a classic Italian sweet pepper, often called the Italian frying pepper. It’s typically harvested while still green and has a sweet, slightly tangy flavor with just a hint of bitterness. The flesh is thin-walled, making it quick to cook—especially when fried whole in olive oil, which is the traditional preparation in Tuscany.
On the Scoville scale, friggitello peppers range from 0 to 500 SHU, meaning they are very mild and often perceived as having no heat at all. There’s also a Greek variety that’s a bit sweeter and commonly used in salads or pickled.
